How To Use The Law of Attraction

Today I’m going to talk about the Law of Attraction and how you can use this tool to get anything you want.

The Law of Attraction is the idea that our universe operates under this ‘law’ in which like attracts like, meaning whatever energy you send out, you will attract back in return. For example, if you focus on being positive and achieving your goals then your thoughts will materialise into your reality. If however, you focus on negativity, your reality will remain under a dark cloud.

The Law of Attraction uses the power of the mind to convert thoughts into actions and actions into reality, it’s the ability to attract what we are focusing on into our lives. The general idea is that all change begins with your beliefs and your thoughts. This is what makes the universe such a beautiful and magical place, as your thoughts are the designers of your reality.

The Universe Has Your Back

Your reality begins with your thoughts. Think about it, there’s no dream which you’ve achieved that you haven’t thought about first. That’s because your beliefs determine your thoughts, your thoughts determine your actions and your actions determine your reality.

So if I think that I want to be rich then I’ll be rich?

No, unfortunately, that’s not how it works. The general idea is that your reality starts with your beliefs and your thoughts. You have to know what your want, you have to visualize your goals and then you have to take action to get there. Meanwhile, as you send positive vibes out into the universe, the universe will send positive vibes in return to support you and your goals.

Know Your Beliefs

Have a think about what you tell yourself on a regular basis. Is it mainly positive or negative? What do you believe to be true about yourself and your life? The first step to getting anything you want through the Law of Attraction is to be aware of your beliefs and stop any negative thoughts which are holding you back in life. A good exercise is to write a list of the things which you believe to be true about yourself and your life Such as:

  • It’s so hard to find a job.
  • It’s so hard to date.

Once you’ve written your list, have a read of what you’ve written down and ask yourself, are these negative things? Are these limiting beliefs? Sometimes we believe in things which hold us back, try switching your beliefs into positive statements, for example:

  • I’m skilled and experienced and I can find a job easily.
  • There are so many great men/women in the world, and I will meet my perfect soul mate.

Express Gratitude

It comes quite naturally for most of us to focus on the negative side of situations. To reverse these thoughts and nourish your mind you must express gratitude. You see, the more you are grateful for in your life, the more you will find to be grateful for. As we now know, The Law of Attraction operates under this ‘law’ in which like attracts like, meaning whatever energy you send out to the universe, you will attract back in return. Therefore if you are generous with other people you will receive generosity in return.

Use Affirmations

What are affirmations?

Affirmations are positive statements which you repeat to yourself in a way to support your success.  They can help you to develop a more positive perception of yourself and your life. The repetition of affirmations can be very powerful as they can influence your beliefs and keep you focused on your goals. Affirmations should be used in the present tense, such as:

  • “I am willing to step outside of my comfort zone to accomplish the goals I set for myself”.

Once you have written out your goals and turned them into affirmations, you should repeat them to yourself every day. Ideally in a mirror or alternatively you can write the affirmations down several times in a journal. Over time your mind will start to believe the positive statements which you are repeating to yourself.

Create a Dream Board

I created my first dream board about six years ago. Not only was it fun to create but I even achieved most of the things on the board. At the time I was stuck in a rut and needed something to motivate me and pull me out of the dark hole which I had fallen into. Creating this board gave me a purpose, it gave me a goal, well quite a few goals actually! Seeing your dreams every day on your board will help bring them to life. It will release the drive inside of you.

Take Action

Think of the universe and your collaborator. You have to take action in order to move forward and achieve your goals. If you sit back and wait for things to happen then the universe will also sit back and wait for things to happen. To get what you want you first have to take action and the universe will work with you.
