At the start of 2017 I decided to set myself monthly goals instead of a New Year Resolution. I believe that setting goals will help me stay motivated and I hope by sharing my goals I will inspire you to set your own! In this post I will capture how I got on with my February goals and share with you my goals for March.

Grow blog traffic by uploading more motivating and helpful content.
- Post two articles per week, on Wednesday and Sunday
Done and done. I really enjoyed this challenge and I could see from Google Analytics that my blog traffic has doubled since last month. I’m definitely going to stick to my new posting scheduled from now on!
Read one self development book.

Using the simple KonMari method, Marie Kondo shares the key to successfully tidying your home by only keeping what you truly love. While reading this book I realised that when I have a clear space I also have a clear mind. Which also helped me notice that when I have many things on my mind, I feel the urge to clean in an effort to rid the clutter in my mind.
Health & Fitness
Improve my diet and continue my current exercise routine.
- Cut out unhealthy snacks during working hours
- Drink a minimum of two litres of water a day
- Two 5k runs per week
- Two gym sessions per week
Despite two days feeling unwell, where I felt an unhealthy snack or two during “working hours” was urgently required! I am happy to say that this goal was achieved.
Create an online photo album.

If I hadn’t of set myself this goal then I know for certain that I would not have created my online photo album. I created the album through Vistaprint and it should arrive any day now! I’m super excited to see my master piece.

My previous two self development goals have been to read, so this month I want to mix things up a little. I realised that I have created a board on Pinterest with loads of useful podcasts which I had been planning on listening to, when I get time… So this month I’m going to make time to listen to five inspiring podcasts for self-improvement. Added bonus, once I’ve listened to them I will share with you my thoughts on each one!

Health & Fitness
I’ve signed up for another 10k run for the first Sunday in April! I find it much more motivating to get out the house and go for a run when I know I have something to train for. My 10k personal best is one hour one minute, if I can beat this time I will be a very happy girl! My training schedule will be:
- Two 5k runs during the week
- One 8k run at the weekend
- Two gym sessions during the week
Last Christmas I received a couple of vouchers for experiences days, one for afternoon tea and another for a comedy night. The type of voucher which is valid for a year or two but you don’t tend to book it until it’s due to expire! This month I’m going to make a point of actually booking them and getting a date in the diary. Hopefully I will be able to book one of the experiences for this month 🙂
