9 Things Successful Girls Always Have In Their Bag

Some days I’m a total girl boss who has complete control over my life, I’m feeling successful, organised and productive and ready to take on the world. While other days I get caught in the rain without an umbrella, stuck outside my house with no keys or lost trying to read Google maps with 3% battery. Yet on those days when I’m not a complete mess, It’s usually because I’ve packed my handbag with some essential items.

When I catch up with my friends and family we always plan our next date, which would be impossible without our diaries because we all have such busy lives. Whether you use the calendar in your phone or if your prefer to use a handwritten diary,* this item is essential to a successful girls bag.

Portable Charger

Can you even imagine how lost you would be if you left your house for the day without your phone? Phones are the perfect tool for staying organised and being successful. They contain your diary, your contacts, a map and contribute to a successful day. If you know that you are going to be out for the entire day then take you a portable charger* with you.

Beauty Bag

By carrying around a small cosmetic bag* you will always be prepared for those beauty related emergencies. Essentials may include your deodorant, hand sanitiser, and your lipstick for when you need an extra confidence boost. If I’ve painted my nails I also like to take the nail varnish out with me, because when I don’t my nails are likely to chip and I really hate chipped nails!

Contactless payments are available almost everywhere now, meaning we don’t always feel the need to take out cash. Yet it’s always best to have emergency notes in your bag. You will then be prepared for all situations, like if your card stops working, if the vendor is only accepting cash or if you just want to give the friendly waiter a tip.

Water Bottle

I always take my water bottle* with me when I’m commuting to and from work, because being stuck in traffic or waiting for a delayed train home without water will make the situation ten times worse. Always stay hydrated and healthy by packing a water bottle before you leave your home or the office.

A Snack

Be prepared by packing a healthy snack in your bag. I’m a totally different person when I’m hungry and like most people, being hungry brings out my bad side, it can also make me feel a bit ill and light headed. There are tones of guides which you can read which will help you eat healthy and feed your skin with the nutrients it needs to shine. Check out, Eat Beautiful* and Eat Pretty* to explore nutrition for beauty inside and out.

If I know that I will have time during the day to read then I will always pack my Kindle* or a book. Sometimes we just need someplace for our minds to escape to when we are having a stressful day or feeling a little overwhelmed. Having a good book in your bag will help you unwind and escape when you need to.

An Umbrella

The English weather constantly changing, so you should always be prepared by packing a small umbrella*. You don’t want to be on your way to work, to a meeting, to an event or just a girls night out and turn up looking like a drowned rat! This is never a good look.

Business Cards

Network, network, network, I hear this word a lot when it comes to building and growing a brand/ business. Opportunities to network are everywhere and if you own business cards then you don’t want to be caught out during an unexpected opportunity without any. Make sure you are always equipped and you will impress your new potential clients.

I totally agree with all of these- especially a snack. It’s never professional or fun to be hungry. 🙂
