Today’s post will be another ‘How I Rock My Goals’ series, if you’re new to my blog then I’ll fill you in quickly. Since the beginning of 2017 I have been setting myself monthly goals, why? Because I believe setting goals will help me stay motivated and I hope by sharing my goals I will inspire you to set your own. Today I will share with you how I got on with my October goals and what my goals are for November.
When I want to take new photos of myself for my Instagram or for my blog posts, I usually need to ask a friend or my boyfriend to be my photographer. This isn’t always convenient, so to make life easier I’ve bought myself a tripod so I can take my own photos. That’s why this months blogging goal is to practice using the tripod to take blog photos.

Why didn’t I buy a tripod earlier? This is such a brilliant idea, taking blog photos has never been so easy and they look pretty professional if I do say so myself. If you’re struggling to find someone to be your blog photographer I highly recommend buying yourself a tripod. You can check out my photos here on Instagram.
I’ve listed below the camera and equipment I’ve been using to take my photos.

- Camera Tripod*
- PlayMemories Mobile (This is a free app, which allows you to use your smartphone as a remote commander for the camera. Functions such as releasing the shutter, starting/stopping the recording, and zooming are available.)
I’ve been saying to myself for ages that I want to get a massage, but for some reason I just haven’t booked an appointment. This months self-care goal is to finally have the massage I’ve been wanting.
- Treat myself to a massage
Done! It was amazing, next I think I’ll book a facial.

- Continue training for the half marathon.

We’ve almost finished refurbishing our kitchen and once that’s done we will move onto the master bedroom. The master bedroom is currently a junk room, I mean it’s literally full of junk! Inside you will find our old bed and mattress, some of Ash’s work tools, packaging from when the kitchen was delivered and much more. This November I need to completely clear out the room so it’s ready for decorating. I think this will involve a couple of trips to the skip, so it’s not the most fun goal I’ve given myself but one that needs to be done.
As this goal isn’t very fun, I think I’ll give myself another home goal and that is to buy a new duvet cover, cushions, and a blanket, ready for our new bedroom!

Health and Fitness
My half marathon isn’t far away, 19 November. This month I will continue my training and then have a little rest!
- Continue training and complete half marathon.
I would love to go to Paris this December for a romantic weekend with my boyfriend, Ash. I’ve been to Paris before but I think it will be a completely different experience if I go with Ash.
