9 Sunday Hacks To Get Your Life Together
Sunday is the perfect day to relax and unwind before the busy week ahead, but it’s also a great day to get your life together!
Use your Sunday to schedule all of the tasks which you just don’t have time to do in the week. If Sunday doesn’t work for you because of work or other commitments then simply choose another day in the week when you can get organised. Don’t worry, you will still have time to lounge in your pj’s and binge-watch Netflix, but first here are some hacks to get your life together and be a total boss!
Write your to-do lists
First things first, you need to write a to-do list, because I just don’t understand how people function without one. Show your planner some love and write out your to-do list for the week, think about tasks which you have to do such as grocery shopping, and then think about appointments you need to go to or you need to make. Finally, think about what goals you what to accomplish this week, month or year, is there a task which you can do this week which will help?
Plan your time
If you’re anything like me then your to-do list will be huge. Yet finding the time in your busy, jam-packed schedule can be pretty difficult, but it doesn’t have to be. You simply need to be more mindful of how you’re spending your time. Sometimes we can feel like our schedule is completely full but in reality, we are wasting a lot of time being distracted. To schedule your time, start by adding to your calendar all of your non-negotiable’s such as work and taking your children to school. Next, schedule time for the things which you really want to do, such as blogging, learning something new or having family time. Be realistic and don’t pack too much into your schedule, by keeping space between each task you will allow time for self-care and those little unexpected things in life.
Prepare your meals
Meal prepping is a great way to eat healthy and delicious meals and save time in the week. First, you need to plan your meals, this can include your breakfast, lunch, dinner and even healthy snacks. Once the meal plan is prepped for the week, add any items you don’t have to your shopping list. Depending on how you like to cook, you can use your meal plan to prepare meals in advance by batch cooking or simply chopping your vegetables to save you time later in the week. While you’re meal prepping, have a lookout for new recipes and add these to your plan.
Do your washing
Putting washing on is easy, but hanging up your washing is another task completely. One of my pet peeves is having to do washing late at night especially when it interrupts my nighttime routine. Of course, you don’t want to do all of your washing on the same day because you probably won’t have enough space to dry everything. I like to make a habit of washing my bed sheets and towels on a Sunday and make sure I have enough clean work clothes and a clean gym kit for the week. We find it pretty easy to make excuses not to exercise anyway so let’s not let a dirty gym kit be one of the reasons.
Clean your home
We’re all busy and this can make it difficult to stay on top of the household chores during the weekday. That’s why Sunday is the perfect day (or whatever day works for you!) to dedicate an hour or two to your home. Fold away your washing, run the hoover around and give your home the freshen-up it deserves because after a busy and stressful day, wouldn’t it be nice to come back to a clean home.
Change your bed sheets
Whether you change your bed sheets weekly or fortnightly, you just can’t beat that feeling when you get into your warm cosy bed with fresh sheets, pure bliss!
Pamper/treat yourself
Treat yourself at least once a week, because you totally deserve it! Think about what makes you happy, what relaxes you and what allows you to press that reset button? For me I love to write, I love to take bubble baths and I love getting a massage. Maybe you feel best when you are baking, gardening, shopping, or getting a manicure? Treat yourself at least once a week and press that reset button, otherwise, you might find yourself running on empty.
Start your night-time routine
By having a night-time routine before bed you will set yourself up for a productive and relaxing morning. My bedtime routine goes something like this:
- Switch off all electronics by 9 PM
- Quick pamper
- Prepare my bag and clothes for work the next day
- Read in bed before falling fast asleep
Clean out your bag
Taking time once a week to clean out your bag and purse can honestly make you feel like you’ve got your life together. It’s such as small task but by clearing out all of those unwanted receipts, chewing gum wrappers and “oh that’s where all of my hair bands went!” you will feel much more organised and together.
What are your Sunday hacks for a productive week?

Amandela
I love the Sunday box idea! Can’t go wrong with a little pampering to end the week as well. We usually try to get some of those weekend chores done during the week to spread them out until Friday so the weekends are free to do our other laundry list of things to get done.

> AmandelaThanks! I love a Sunday pamper 🙂 That sounds like a good plan too, it gives you more free time to enjoy your weekend. Thanks for commenting.

I love this! I work a weird schedule, so Tuesdays are basically my “Sunday”, and when I do all of these things I feel so refreshed !
